Reports (Mac)
Why do reports no longer auto-update when data changes? (Q Mac)
sscaffe
I now have to change the parameters of the report or close and re-open once data has changed. This is new- previous to recent updates, the reports would automatically update.

Don't use the report called "Category Summary" -- or any of the five other reports found under Reports > Other Reports and denoted with a gray icon. These are old reports which is on its way to being eliminated from the program. Instead, use one of the reports that use the new reports engine, such as Transactions by Category or Category Summary by Year or Month, or Create New Report > Transaction (or Summary) > Row=Category. The modern reports
do
update results in real-time as edits to transactions are made.
