Can I categorize transactions after they're in the register?

I've downloaded a boatload of tx from my bank, without setting up any renaming or category rules. Is there a way that I can apply these rules after they're downloaded and in the registry?

No, Renaming can only happen during the download/import process.

You could sort the register by the various fields to get your transactions in bunches/groups and then do Find/Replace on the Category field on a selected range of transactions.

i.e.  You could sort by Payee and then select all of the transactions from your grocery and then do the find/replace on that selection.
