One-Step Update crashes Quicken and launches Bugsplat
Herrick Inman
Starting today, every time I run One-Step Update, the update progress halts, Quickens closes and the annoying, useless Bugsplat launches. No error message. Super-Validate found no problems.

I'm having the same issue. Everything works it appears individually updating EXCEPT my Fidelity accounts. Do you by chance have Fidelity?
Herrick Inman
One step update works for each of my accounts individually, except my Discover accounts. To try to fix this, I deactivated my Discover accounts, then tried to reactivate them via Set Up Online. After entering my UserID and Password and pressing Connect, Quicken crashes and Bugsplat launches.
I don't have Fidelity.
emsquared72
I am having the exact same issue with Quicken for Windows that Herrick Inman is experiencing starting this morning. If I run one-step update, it crashes the program and the bugsplat program runs.
carlwebster
Same here. Also unable to update accounts individually.
pcar-nut
My one step is crashing with Fidelity and Charles Schwab accounts. Every other account seems to be working
crwalejr
Yes. Every time I request an update Quicken crashes during the process and I get Bugsplat screen. Same with you?
Tammy Van Buren
Yes. Every time I request an update Quicken crashes during the process and I get Bugsplat screen.
rolandi2
Yes, same problem as yours.
jtcrawf55
Ditto on that. If you update some accounts individually it works. But OSU for all accounts produces BUGSPLAT no matter what. What's up QUICKEN people?
hmday
I have the same problem when updating Charles Schwab account
CountryLogic
Yes. Every time I request an OSU, Quicken crashes during the process and I get Bugsplat screen. If I update my accounts by selecting them individually, they all update except my Discover account. . On that one I get crashed Bugsplatted.

I have the same experience, except certain accounts cause the Bugsplat crash. For me, it's the Discover credit card account and a Schwab 401k account
FaithRisa
Same issues as the rest of you - Glad I came here as I thought it was me :-)
yoyomanii
getting the bugsplat screen when trying to update accounts. then tried to add accounts, getting the same thing.
vz2z9999
I'm not sure but it seems like Fidelity. I can update banks individually ok excepty for them
rlroberts
Yes, OSU just spins on one computer. Bugsplat error on a different computer with different accounts
D-Two
It's something other than "just" Fidelity, as I'm experiencing the crash and do not have a Fidelity account linked.
Dory
Mine is hanging when updating investment quotes. I just got the bug
splat too.
EricC
I am having the same problem with One Step Update. Crashes and then I get the BugSplat screen.
RAli
Yes I just tried updating my IRA account from Fidelity, and it gave me a Bugsplat error and crashed.
yoyomanii
mine is also fidelity. called fidelity and they say everything is good on their side. signed into fidelity with no problem. it is a quicken problem
DGA
I am having same issue. Bugsplat if you try to update fidelity accounts. Also bugsplat if you reset online access for a fidelity account.
crwalejr
Yes that is the crash screen for Quicken. Seems to be a system issue with Quicken today. Many reports of issue.

Same problem as everyone else with Q crashing. All accounts update fine when I update one at a time EXCEPT my Discover account. The Discover account crashes Q every time. Everything worked fine 11/9 but today is when this started. I don't have Fidelity or Schwab accounts.

Same here. Upgrading Schwab causing a bugsplat pop-up. Quicken needs to fix ASAP.
rjapikse
same - just fidelity. Merrill works. had to remove Fidelity from one step update and now I can update all the rest of my accounts with OSU. Once I was able to update fidelity by itself, but not anymore
WT293
Yep, same issue here. Running OSU on Quicken 2020 for Windows results in crash and bugsplat.
shafrs3
One step update freezes with status wheel spinning for me. I need to use task manager to close Quicken.
Paul McMillin
Bugsplat on Fidelity update here too.

Same issue for me. Weatherscape investments are not updating. Quicken starts to update those and shuts down immediately with Bugsplat opening.
JimWMart
Have narrowed the problem to Fidelity
m230340
Seriously Quicken? It's 2020 - your software should not crash.
Tommy
Sorry....Sarah's update is on the 'Alerts & Know Product Issues' page.

After reading all of these comments I removed Fidelity Investments from the One Step Update and it completed successfully
yoyomanii
just got off the phone with quicken support. quicken support has been notified that there is a problem with connecting to fidelity and they are working on getting the connection going. I was told to wait a couple of hours and try again to add the account.
leishirsute
Thank you for validating it's not just my problem. Hard to tell sometimes.
FloridaDave
Same here using latest Subscription version and latest Windows 10. Validated the file, rebooted computer - no help. After several OSU crashes, I was able to update all accounts individually with no problems but then OSU crashed immediately when I tried it again. I don't have any Fidelity accounts. Sent several BugSplat reports.
leishirsute
Vystar transaction download also gives an error now. It was working yesterday.
Sam Iyer
Thanks a lot
is there a whatsapp group for quicken users?
Jim59@
Same issue here with both Fidelity and Wealthscape Investor accounts. Everything was working fine yesterday. Now today, trying to update these accounts causes crash\bug splat screen.
leishirsute
@rbarmhome
Bugsplat appears to be a Quicken crash problem submission form. I just wish it identified as related to Quicken when it pops up.
CaveCreek
Yes, my one step update hangs on Fidelity
clydepayne218
Quicken R29.22 build 27.1.29.22 crashes with a "Bugsplat" message when I use one step to download transactions and balances. I have found some similar comments. Is Bugsplat a part of Quicken?
crwalejr
It's just fidelity: AMEX, Schwab too

Having same problem. Just spoke with Fidelity Tec and Tec used is personal account and confirmed he was having same problem. Requested he have Fidelity Tech contact Quicken to expedite solution.

FYI: For me, Fidelity is also a problem but others report it is an issue with different FIs and not Fidelity (since they don't have Fidelity as a FI). Not sure what is going on, yet, but it seems to be an issue affecting some DC FIs.
