this option is grayed out/not available. Shortcut not working either. What gives?

If you haven't rebooted Windows since you installed the latest software update, please do so now and then try Quicken again.

Until we have a Savings or Checking account register in our Quicken file, the Tools > Write and Print Checks... option and the Ctrl + W shortcut are not available.
