Report will not save split transactions

I created a report and checked "Show splits" which was the only way to see those transactions. When I save the report, the split transactions disappear from the report. When I try to customize the saved report and check "show splits" it still will not save those transactions. Can you help?

    When you save the report with "Show splits" checked, are you saving it to My Saved Reports?  And when you open the report the next time are you opening it from My Saved Reports or are you opening the default standard report?
    If you save the report to My Saved Reports and then later open it from there it should show just like you last saved it.
