It's easy to either edit or delete the next instance or all instances -- from your account register.
(Note: the following instructions assume you're just editing a future transaction n Quicken; if your transaction is tied to automatic bill payment, there may be other wrinkles, so post again with the specifics before you proceed.)
Make sure you're seeing one or more scheduled transactions in the series in your register (they'll be in gray); if you're not, pull down the menu from the little clock icon just above the right side of the column headings. Select "Next One Due" or "Next x Days".
To delete, click on the next instance (in gray) and press either the Delete key or the Delete icon in the bottom menu.- To delete the next instance only, select "Skip this instance" in the pop up screen
- To delete the next and all future transactions, select "Delete this series of scheduled transactions"
- To edit all transactions now and going forward, select "Edit this and all future transactions"
To edit the next transaction only, double click on it; you can edit the date and amount, but not other fields, like Memo or Category.
If you want to edit the next transaction and edit additional fields, such as the Category or splits or memo, you'll need to Mark as Paid; then edit the transaction. The date can still be in the future; "Mark as Paid" simply disassociates this transaction from the scheduled series of transactions.Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19930
