MS Money Quicken conversion asking for file password (but there isn't one)

Hi gang. I'm converting a Quicken 2002 data file to MS Money to then convert it to Quicken 2013. It worked last week but when I've tried again with the latest data file from Quicken 2002, when MS Money does the convert, it says the Quicken data file is protected by a password - but it isn't and never has been.
Anything I'm doing wrong? Bizarre that it worked last week but now it thinks it's password protected. Did as a test last week with a backup data file - was now trying current data file (copied).
Thanks.

Is there a reason you're using MS Money for the intermediate version instead of Quicken 2004?
If you haven't already, you may want to review: https://www.quicken.com/support/how-and-when-use-intermediate-version-convert-older-versions-quicken0 -
Yes - I'm using the UK version that has GBP £ as the main currency. I can't convert to 2004 from my 2002 version. Wish it was that easy.
I'm a huge Quicken 2002 fan and have been using it for years but I need a VM on my Mac to run it. Trying to move to the Mac version ultimately.1
