Youcan't right click and paste a password into the password box when logging intoyour Quicken account within Quicken. You can use CTRL-v, but right clicking andchoosing Paste is sometimes more intuitive for "novice" users (i.e.,my dad). And when your CTRL key is broken (i.e., my laptop).

Personally I think this one boarders on being a bug.  I think basically any text box you should be able to click and paste into.

I'm not a Quicken Windows user, but Quicken Mac allows you to do this and it is a lifesaver, so I will happily vote for this feature in the hopes it helps Quicken Windows users get this functionality. :)

    Interesting…

I actually use Roboform password manager which will fill this for you but thought I would try right-clicking and paste the password.

In my case, I manually copied the password to the clipboard, started quicken, then right-clicked in the Enter Data File Password box and selected paste to fill in the password. Worked as one would expect.

This is a very old thread. It looks like they fixed this at some point, but this idea was never updated.
