The old computer died and but I have the data files and the original program CDs. I want to know how to reinstall the program on the new computer. The registration system for Quicken 2011 is no longer working. What can I do? Quicken 2011 does everything I want and I don't evven know if I can upgrade the data files.

Install it on the new computer, then download and apply the QW2011 patch found here: http://www.quicknperlwiz.com/quicken-2011-patches.html
If you are asked for registration when you run Quicken, do the following:
Left Shift+CTRL when clicking on Tools->One Step Update

-splasher using Q continuously since 1996
    - Subscription Quicken - Win11 and QW2013 - Win11

Thanks for the patch. That partially worked. The QW11R8MPatch appeared to work successfully but when I ran quicken it asked to convert my data file and it stalled (not responding) after 11603 items converted.

I started a new data file and then did the tools->one step update and then attempted to open my data file and it converted successfully. Thanks splasher for your help. It's very much appreciated.
