This used to work on earlier versions and with a newly installed 2020 R30.14 build 27.1.30.14 no longer functions.

My recollection is the separator for the date must be a slash.

If you use dash as the seperator in the date format, the plus and minus keys will not work to increment or decrement the date.

    mm/dd/yyyy works, mm-dd-yyyy does not.

Yep you are right.  Even yyyy/M/d works, but anything using something other than / as the separator doesn't work.

Thanks to all that commented and allowed me to recall how things worked in the past.

With the newer windows attempting to simplify settings, the use alternate delimiters moved to advanced settings with only the "/" and "-" normally presented for use. Changing to the decimal period "." delimiter I had previously used (and forgotten) solved the issue I was having and now + and - work as desired. Short date format yyyy.MM.dd works fine.

What do you have your Windows Short date set to?
The + doesn't work when using a format like 2021-1-1.  (has to be month, day, year)

That is how my short date is set, but has been for many years and + worked.
Is this a more recent QW change that no longer supports that format.

As far as I know this has been true forever, as in + and - only working if the dates are month, day, year.  It is far from a new complaint.

I have a guess at why - doesn't work.  When I had yyyy-M-d and hit - it jumped to the next field.  I'm guessing that the fact that the character to decrement is the same as the separator it doesn't do it right.

Other delimiters are permitted, but specifically the hyphen "-" breaks the +/- function.

Other delimiters are permitted, just not presented by Windows.
