I need to delete/change the financial institution name on an account.

I've deactivated the online services, but I still can't delete the financial institution name. What am I missing?

If you have deactivated the Online Services for the account, you should be able to clear the financial institution's name on the General tab of the Account Details window for the account: open the account register and press Ctrl + Shift + E

Yes, I should be able to, but it won't let me. The online services are deactivated - the only option on the online services tab is the activation option - but when I delete the name and click OK and then reopen the account info tab, the name is back in.

I suggest attempting the Copy and Validate instructions described in: https://www.quicken.com/support/advanced-data-file-troubleshooting-correct-problems-quicken-windows

If the issue persists, I suggest creating a new offline account, moving the transactions,  updating any memorized payers and reminders referencing the original account, and deleting the original account.  You may want to review: https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7160099/faq-how-do-i-move-transactions-between-quicken-accounts
