Investing Lot Report
Nancy Keith
I would like a report that gives lot information on each security owned in order to determine when and how many shares were purchased, since capital gains rates are different for short and long term ownership, and there may be many lot purchases due to reinvestments. Is there a way to obtain this?

Yes. Set up an Investing Portfolio view that includes the securities and columns you are interested in. You may want to exclude money market funds because they have no gains or losses.
Click on the gear at the top right of the view and under Portfolio preferences make sure Show closed plots is not selected.
Organize by account. You may want to exclude tax deferred accounts because capital gains do not matter there.
At the bottom, click on Expand all to show all the lots.
Go to File > Print portfolio to print.

That worked, but I had to click on the plus sign for each security in order for the lots to be displayed. Thank you for your assistance.

Glad to hear it worked.
The Expand All button should be at the bottom left of the Portfolio view.

This worked but is there a way to limit it to just those lots at a loss?

No such filter is possible to my knowledge.
