Loan balances updating without any transactions posting

Hi,
Today, two of my loans went from negative balances to positive balances without having entered any transactions in either one. Most recent transactions were from January.
Any clue as to what might be going one?
Quicken 2020 Premiere subscription. R31.12

    Doing some digging I noticed that the opening balance for both loans have disappeared from the registers.

    Syncing to Quicken Mobile/Web has been traced to causing several strange problems like deleted transactions, deleted categories, deleted splits, change in reconcile states, ...

    I suggest you try turning it off for a while and see if that helps.

    Doesn't it seem odd that a "feature" would end up doing more harm than good?
