Vanguard account ....... how to show transfer of money from checking

My Vanguard account is setup on Quicken for Mac and is linked to my account online, so it shows whenever I transfer money from my checking account into Vanguard, but I did not actually record this transaction in my checking account on Quicken.

So my Vanguard account is correct, but my checking account is overstated since I actually did not enter the transaction. 

How do I correct this situation with my checking account without creating a duplicate entry in Vanguard?  Am I making any sense?

Thank you for taking the time to visit the Community to report this issue, although I apologize that you have not received a response.

First, you will need to create a transfer transaction to match the transaction that has occurred in real life. To learn about transfers, please see the information available here.

Once you have the transfer, you will need to match the manual transfer with the downloaded transaction. To learn more about matching, please see the information available here.
