How to update credit card number for downloading (Q Mac)
When I try to connect for download, Quicken creates a new account to download to with transactions only included to Dec. 2020.
How can I update my current account and continue downloading to it in Quicken

Hello @sjtinsman
Thank you for reaching out on the community and telling us about your issue. I do apologize for the issue you're having. I do apologize for the issue you're having. Generally when something like this happens what we'll need to do is deactivate and reactivate the account so that it's able to connect to the new card. This could lead to some duplicates but it sounds like you may need to go back further than the last 3 months.
If that's the case you can generally go to the banks website and download/export transactions into Quicken. You can generally find this option by clicking on your account on the bank and you'll see a download button.
If you just need to get the new card synced we should just need to deactivate and reactivate the account. I'll leave steps down below on how to do so.
First thing I'll recommend is to save a backup to revert back to just in case. You can find how to do so down below.
https://www.quicken.com/support/how-backup-or-restore-your-quicken-data
Next we'll try deactivating all of the accounts. You can do so by following the article listed down below.
https://www.quicken.com/support/deactivate-online-banking-services-quicken-account
Once all the accounts are deactivated go ahead and follow the article here on reconnecting the accounts.
https://www.quicken.com/support/reactivating-deactivated-account
Once you've done this let us know if you're able to get your transactions downloading properly again. If not we'll see what we can try next,
Thanks,
Quicken Francisco

There is no option to "disconnect" because the account is essentially not connected which is why it is not downloading.
That is what led me to attempting to reconnect the account and finding Quicken established a "new" account instead.
Any other ideas?0 -

I don't want to deactivate all my accounts, just 1 credit card. How do I do that?0

Hello @Byates
Thank you for the question. Do you only need to update one account? If so, then deactivate and reactivate the one account in question. The steps to deactivate are at the link below.
https://www.quicken.com/support/deactivate-online-banking-services-quicken-account
Once the account has been deactivated go ahead and follow the article at the link below to reactivate.
https://www.quicken.com/support/reactivating-deactivated-account
If you have numerous accounts that use the same password, these will all need to be deactivated and reactivated to ensure that the password is updated.
I hope this helps!
