Registers & Transactions (Windows)
Select all entries in register search result
Bill Blaney
I searched my bank for all transactions between the dates shown in my bank statement. I selected Deposit. My search returned 5 entries and they appear in the Register. I want to sum the deposit amounts. I selected the first transaction, held down the Shift key and selected the last transaction. I expected all 5 transactions would be selected and I would see the number of items selected and the total. To my amazement I could not select all 5, only the first 4. I tried selecting up and down. I tried selecting individual items holding down the Ctrl key and clicking each one. The last item resists being included in the group. Any suggestions? By any chance is the last one a reminder?
You can't select a reminder.

This was an unusual occurrence. Usually I am able to select all the transactions I need in the register by clicking on the 1st one,, holding Shift and clicking on the last one. But depending on where you click in the transaction you may activate one of its fields. So the question is, where on the transaction row is the best place to click and select? QWin10.

It doesn't matter if a field gets selected. If you look whenever a field gets selected, so does the transaction.
And when you hold down the Shift key and click another transaction it never goes into a field, selects only at the transaction level.
