Fremont Bank HELOC

I have a Fremont Bank checking account and HELOC, I can add my checking account but can not add HELOC, now I have read that the HELOC is considered as credit card but I do not know how to connect a credit card for Fremont back there is no options, only Fremont Bank personal banking and Fremont Bank Mortgage. Thanks

@Al737 - If you have been contacting Fremont's Customer Service you should note that most Bank Customer Service people know squat about Quicken. If that is the case, then it's important to ask to speak to their supervisor or to someone in their tech support group. Keep asking until you get someone who does know something. It can take some persistence and time but eventually you will find someone who can speak intelligently on the subject.

Also, I don't know if you have seen this before but it does have a telephone number listed (866-222-6304) that might get you to someone who knows something about Quicken:

Each financial institution decides which types of accounts it will support for download into Quicken. I don't know about Fremont but many banks do not support download of HELOC accounts data.

The FI List shows Fremont does support credit cards download. If they support HELOC credit cards download then the account data should have downloaded and been set up in Quicken at the same time that you set up your checking account. The fact that it didn't is a good indication that Fremont does not support download of HELOC credit card accounts.

But you can confirm this by logging into your online account. The FI List shows that Fremont supports Web Connect so if you can manually download transactions from your online HELOC account in QFX (or "Quicken" or "Quickbooks") format, then try doing that and import it into Quicken. If successful, in Quicken go to the Online Services tab of the Account Details and see if it says an improved connection method is available. If it says that, click on the link and follow the prompts to get downloads via Quicken set up.

If this all fails, then you will be able to set up a manual account in Quicken for it but you will need to manually enter all your transactions.

FIDIR.TXT is the Q file that contains info about the various banks/cards/etc and what types of download they allow into Q.

ONLY "Fremont Bank - Mortgage" indicates that it supports "CREDIT" type accounts for downloading. SO it's probably fruitless to try the other names.

Complain to Fremont Banks about this. ONLY they can change what account types they support for downloading.
