Set up a new account with USD rather than CAD

How can I set up an account using USD, rather than defaulting to CAD? I know it's possible, as I have done in in the past. The help topic is not particularly helpful.

When you are presented with the Add Account dialog it should have a pulldown menu for selecting the currency type.
Note for the Canadian version of Quicken Windows, multiple currency is always on. For the US version you have to turn it on in the Preferences.Signature:

I just thought of something. Are you setting up that "online", I believe that when you do it that way the currency is determined what the financial institution sets.Signature:

I have several registered accounts which allow securities in both CAD and USD. The only way I have found to manage them is to split the account in two, one for the CAD securities and another for the USD securities. My bank does not support downloading investment transactions, so I enter them manually.0

OK what you see on the Add Account dialog?
Can you include a screenshot?Signature:

I've attached a series of screens, none of which seemed to offer an option to choose a currency. I started the add account from the account list.0

I think someone using the Canadian version is going to have to answer this, because even using investment accounts mine still shows the currency at the Add Account dialog.
Note there should be a toll free number for Quicken support in your Quicken.com account.
And here is the link to the chat/phone:
Contact Quicken Support (be sure to turn off popup blockers since clicking on the support button does bring up a popup window)
