check numbers

in Download, Add/Update Accounts (Windows)
just loaded a newer version of Quicken Deluxe, and loaded my backup from usb drive. checkbook loaded fine but there are no check numbers showing as they did in my old checkbook. any ideas?

    Go to the register in question and select this icon:


    Turn on the check number column from that menu.
