Is there a stand alone version of the latest version of Quicken?

Does the latest version of Quicken require that I save my data on the cloud?

    Hi @Thinker888,

While the current version does use the cloud to facilitate the downloading of transactions, it is not required that you utilize the "Quicken on the Cloud" or "Quicken Mobile" features of Quicken.  Most importantly, your data file is not stored in the cloud.

Nothing has changed about Quicken being a desktop-based program over the years. (The change four years ago to a subscription basis did not change the way the program works, only the nature of how customers pay Quicken for the program services and updates to the software.) If you choose to enter all your transactions manually, nothing is in the cloud. If you download transactions, if you choose to enable cloud syncing so you can use the mobile app or web interface, then you're utilizing parts of Quicken's cloud services -- but everything is synced to and is centered on your desktop Quicken file.
