Bank of America - what is difference between BofA - Quicken and BofA - Other States

"All Other States" supports Direct Connect if you're lucky enough to have that at B of A. The "Quicken" flavor does not. There must be a historical reason that the "Quicken" version exists, but I don't know what it is.
[EDIT years later: B of A has disabled Direct Connect so it is no longer available. - RJS 6/1/24]

Can a moderator please answer the simple question of: Is it recommended to use Bank of America-Quicken OR Bank of America-All Other States?
This question has been asked numerous times yet there is no clear answer.
Thank you.

I'm still looking for an answer on the difference between Bank of America Quicken and Bank of America All Other States? I am having problems with my 5 Bank of America accounts updating - as I read through all of the people that have had the same issue over the years, it would help me to troubleshoot if I knew the answer to this question because 1 of my accounts is set up under BofA All Other States and 4 are under BofA Quicken.

If you are using Express Web Connect+ for your accounts, there should be no difference.
The only difference I can find is that B of A All Other States allows Web Connect (you manually download a file from their web site) and B of A - Quicken does not.
My 3 accounts are under All Other States and work fine.
