bank account ending balance error on latest quicken. how do I fix?

Question

installed new version R32.12. Resulted in changing a bank ending balance from previous reconcile. How do I fix?

Additional comment. I went back and reloaded the total system and updated with backup data. That did solve the problem without the reconcile balance error. That is probably more in line with what you were suggesting. ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU.

Thank you for the helpful comments. I have the correct opening balance in hard copy. When I change the reconcile balance it shows it as a opening balance error. Guess I can live with it. Thanks

I suggest you compare the running balance of the account register in the current Quicken file with the running balance of the account register from a Quicken file backup saved when the account was last reconciled.  One way to accomplish this is to print the registers to text files.
