Quicken 2014 will not let me create a new investment account

I am trying to create a new investment. I am logged into Intuit. Yet when I build the new account, Quicken 2014 asks me to type in Intuit ID/password. I then get Unknown error occured. When I try do manual. Quicken2014 asks for the ticker symbol (that) I know. But the software wants to reach out to Intuit (white blank frame appears on screen). I have had Quicken software since 1993, why my profile shows no software associated with my account. this email and ID jeffreylepak5002

When creating a new security in version of Quicken that isn’t supported you need to leave the symbol blank, and select the manual setup link.

Intuit hasn't owned Quicken for over 5 years.  So why are you logged into them? There is no longer an "Intuit Id".
Also, the title of this thread contradicts your 1st sentence.  Are you trying to create an Investment Account, or a  new investment within an existing Investment account.
