Did Associated Bank stop downloading about April 27, 2021?

When I attempted to reset, that didn't work. When I deactivated and attempted to reset up downloading, I got a message that the Associated Bank website "is temporarily unavailable."

I am now having the same problem and, when I tried to reset the account, I received a message that Associated Bank is "blocking access" to Quicken and that Quicken can't resolve the problem until Associated removes the block?2

here is the internal Quicken config -
and it looks like they only support either manual Web-Connect downloading from their website,
or from the Express Web Connect provided by a proxy service provider .... which may be reason for the blocking -02440 02440 02440 Associated Bank https://secure.associatedbank.com/auth/SignIn?wa=wsignin1.0&wtrealm=https://secure.associatedbank.com/banking/&wctx=rm 1-800-682-4989 https://secure.associatedbank.com/auth/SignIn?wa=wsignin1.0&wtrealm=https://secure.associatedbank.com/banking/&wctx=rm ACTIVE

AD59 - Thanks. I assume this will get straightened out in a few days, but it's good to know that the problem is on the Associated Bank end and not something I did. Regards, Mike O'Brien0

@AD59
Thank you for letting us know that the bank is aware of the issue currently and looking into the block. If you do receive any future updates feel free to post them here.
Thanks,

Associated Bank must have "unblocked" the Quicken download, and I was finally able to get the download working correctly again. But something in that process caused my bank balance to increase almost $40K, which would be terrific if it were true. Sadly, it was not. So I reconciled the account, made an adjustment in the register and "reconciled" myself to the loss of these fleeting riches.0

@Mike O'Brien I had the same thing happen to me today. When I looked back at my transactions I found a "new" reconciled entry labelled Opening Balance that deposited extra cash in my account. I removed that and did a little other cleanup and was able to properly reconcile the account that had the extra cash in it at that point.0

Interesting. I never really tracked down the exact register entry or entries that caused the problem, but it's good to know another user had the same problem. Regards, Mike O'Brien0

Hi folks, they just released a patch that addresses this problem (note it can only fix it "in the future" not fix what is already in your account). See this announcement:
