Unable to create a Credit Card account without providing login

Quicken 2021 on Windows: How can I create a new credit card account without having to provide login information. I'd like to manually download transactions as I've been doing for years.

It seems that the credit card account creation has changed from the past.

Select this in the Add Account dialog:


After you have the account setup, you can do Web Connect/QFX import and link to the account you created.

What bank, credit card, or branded card ?

The Quicken account you create for the credit card will need to match the internal bank number for the manually downloaded QFX data file from the bank website.... if they offer manual downloading of a QFX data file -

For what's it's worth now that I think about it you don't even have to create the offline account first.

If you download an import a QFX file for new account Quicken will ask you if you want to create a new account.  So you could let it do that but it's always safe for to create the manual/offline account first to make sure you get the kind of account type you want.
