what type of special characters I should select for my bank account that are compatible with Quicken? Recently bank upgrade requires special characters(&,^,$,.) but I am not sure the special characters will work with quicken.

Quicken doesn't explicitly limit the characters we may use. The
Express Web Connect
connection method may have issues with
&, <, >, \, or / and the financial institution's profile provided to Quicken may also limit the character set.
