Updating to Quicken default categories

I have been using Quicken since 1996. Is there a way to update the categories in my data file to use the Quicken default categories? I have tried creating a new file and importing the data but the old categories are automatically added.

Thanks in advance.

Don't think so.  You already have categories on them.  You would have to do a Find & Replace to change the category.

The built-in categories are available (press Ctrl + Shift + C, select Options > Manage Categories) but we must merge each old category into the new category (press Ctrl + Shift + C, right-click on the old-category, and select Merge with another category).
