Updating to Quicken default categories

I have been using Quicken since 1996. Is there a way to update the categories in my data file to use the Quicken default categories? I have tried creating a new file and importing the data but the old categories are automatically added.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Don't think so. You already have categories on them. You would have to do a Find & Replace to change the category.
I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.

The built-in categories are available (press Ctrl + Shift + C, select Options > Manage Categories) but we must merge each old category into the new category (press Ctrl + Shift + C, right-click on the old-category, and select Merge with another category).1
