status icon error

Over the past several months I have been getting false status icon errors on my Quicken Deluxe software. After an update of my accounts, Quicken will indicate the "you have tasks to perform" icon (blue dot) or "you have transaction" icon (red flag) on some of the accounts but when you click on those accounts there are no blue dots or red flag icons indicated on the account. What would be causing this error?
