How do I avoid automatic updates?

:* I have been a Quicken customer for many years. Most of the time, I'm very satisfied; when I'm not I can figure out a work-around.
Recently, I've had major issues when Quicken issues an update and the program begins the process of updating when I'm in the middle of my daily work on Quicken. Of course, I want the updates but I would like to prepare for them. An email warning would be nice so that I don't go my own merry way. Thanks.

With UAC set to Always Notify or the default, Windows does not allow Quicken (or any other application) to update automatically without your approval.2

To get to it go to Control Panel >User Accounts >Change User Account Settinsg. Hope that gets you to it easily and quickly!0
