Changing Category for memorized payee

Question

I have one payee that I only use for one category.  Some how Quicken has memorized it but it's incorrect.  How can I change the category so the correct one is applied?

While working in the Memorized Payee List (MPL) delete any duplicate entries for the same Payee Name.
The one you retain with the correct category should be marked as "Locked" so it's used as a default entry. This will prevent any future unwanted changes if you make a one-time change, e.g., Amazon/Clothing is your default, you bought shoes and changed transaction category to Shoes, but this won't change the default MPL entry.

Go to Tools > Memorized payee list or hit Ctrl-T and edit the memorized payee.
