I am using Quicken 2012 Home & Business. How do I export all transactions to Excel?
Ian Thomas
The instructions say 'Click the Action Gear icon in the upper right above the register (the gear icon above the Search bar).' I don't have the gear icon.

The equivalent to the gear icon in the old version was a menu (I forget the text) in the upper right of the register, but note that exporting in Excel format is a new feature that Quicken 2012 doesn't have.
Instead you need to print the register, you should find that on that menu or from the File menu or by typing Ctrl+P. Then select the Print... button.
From there select Export to: tab-delimited (Excel compatible) disk file. You will have to open that file in Excel and answer the questions about the delimitators and such (which should default to the right answers).

By following your instructions I was able to create and Open the Excel file. So a big thank you. The test now will be to see if the file can be picked up and imported into my new accounting package. I'm not entirely confident this will be able to be achieved. Cheers from Australia.
