Memo is not transferred from the original account to receiving account

I am curious if someone know the solution to this simple issue - I am downloading a charge on my credit card and posting it to a an offline asset account. When on the credit card account I am accepting the transaction and updating the memo. When I navigate to that receiving account, the tag is transferred just fine, but the memo is blank. Is there a setting somewhere for this to inherit the original memo?

    There is no setting.  When we enter a new transfer transaction, the memo is replicated.  When we edit an existing transfer transaction, the memo is not replicated.
