I am using Quicken for windows v R35.26. One of my stocks in my Fidelity Brokerage split 2 for 1. In my download update, a Stkplit transaction 2:1 came through and then in the next download update it added shares. which should I delete? or how should this be corrected?

You should delete the Add Shares transaction.

You may also need to correct the price history following a split because sometimes the downloaded prices do not change on the same date as the split.

After I downloaded a Stock Split of 1 for 0.8 then reconcile the account I get a "Securities Comparison Mismatch" notice of about 1/3 shares. How can I correct this?

    What security split for you?
How many shares did you have before the split?
What share quantity does Quicken show after the split?
What share quantity does the brokerage show after the split?

Chances are that you were due that extra 1/3 of a share (though I am not sure how in a 5-for-4 split), and that you received cash-in-lieu for the fractional share.  Quicken would show you receiving the fractional share whereas the brokerage would not.  If that is true, in Quicken you need to sell the fractional share received for the cash-in-lieu amount received.
