When restoring a backup file, cloud sync takes over the process by updating the cloud and, worse, asking for a new cloud altogether. I'd rather just lose the cloud than deal with this annoyance.

Earlier this week a wonderful new feature started in 6.4.4 (Build 604.41834.100) - perhaps as a result of the Quicken Connect update - where my Bank America Multifactor authentication page process automatically included Sign in codes from the BA text messages. They appeared in faint letters and you only had to click on them in the validation box. Wow - saves a lot of cutting and pasting from messages! But today the feature stopped working. Is there a setting that needs to be changed? Is there any documentation on this new feature?

I wonder how that worked? Do you have an iPhone with continuity and text message forwarding turned on? i.e. are you normally able to see text messages inside the Messages app on your Mac? Very useful feature and I hope it comes back.

I don't have an iPhone so if it works this way I probably can't take advantage. Maybe the Quicken mobile app could be used instead, that would be a neat way to allow both Android and iOS devices to use this feature.

I'm trying to get my account at CIT to download again. They say they have updated their website and they say it should be able to connect, but I haven't gotten it to work. This might be temporary however: Are there any updates pending for QM? This page has specific info for QM, but frankly I'm confused where it says to download a file (Steps 5 & 6): https://www.cit.com/cit-bank/resources/services/quicken-quickbooks-mint

@RCinNJ Changes at financial institutions rarely require updates to the actual Quicken program (the current mess with Schwab switching to a new connectivity system is an exception); the changes are at the back-room server level involving Quicken, Intuit and the financial institution. I suggest you create a new thread and ask your questions about your specific financial institution. (I'm not clear if "CIT" referrs to Citizens Bank or some other bank). What specifically are you doing? What results are you seeing? Any error messages? (I use Citizens Bank, and my transactions are downloading normally, if that's relevant.)

Hi Jacobs, thanks for replying. CIT is an online bank (cit.com). I hadn't had any trouble with Quicken downloading transactions since I opened the account in 2017. I found a thread on the Windows forum where others reported this issue. Apparently CIT is updating its system, perhaps similar to what Schwab did. I spent quite a bit of time with a support agent and he kept putting me on hold to consult with others. No one was sure what was up with connecting to Quicken. I'm just going to wait a few days and hope they sort it out. I still don't understand the instructions in the online document I linked to, and I'm not sure they do either.
