how to make purchase order for vendor to issue supplies?

The only thing about purchase orders that you can do in Quicken is after the fact ...
Once you have finished placing the purchase order with the vendor or the vendor sends you an invoice about the purchase you made, you can enter a Vendor Invoice in the Vendor Invoices (Accounts Payable) account register.https://help.quicken.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=3217310

According to a response from someone over on Amazon's Quicken Q&A page you can't do this:
