Importing .qfx file is applied to the wrong account

Hi,
I have been doing this for years but haven't done it since early Sept 2021.
I went to my credit card company site and downloaded the .qfx file for my account.
When I click on the .qfx file the transactions are added to Quicken but to a different credit card account.
Both accounts are Canadian Tire Mastercard.
Both accounts are set up as 'Web Connect'.
I've installed the lasted Quicken updates and even redownloaded the .qfx file but still the same problem.
Any idea what i can do to fix this?
Thanks, Larry

Deactivate both accounts by going to the Account Details ->Online Services, and then import the QFX file again. Quicken will ask to whether you want to create a new file or link to an existing on, link it to the correct account.
When you import a QFX file for the other account it should ask you the same question.Signature:

Hi Chris, well it almost worked. I deactivated both accounts and then imported the QFX file and it asked to link it to an existing account which it did just fine. However when I clicked on the QFX file for the other account I was not asked to link it and it was imported to the account for the first QFX.
So it looks like Quicken can't tell the difference between the 2 accounts or there is something messed up in the QFX files themselves.0 -
All's good, I redownloaded the QFX files and now it is working with your suggestion Chris. Cheers.1

I'm glad you got it working.
It sort of sounds like the financial institution switched the two account information around for some reason. You can actually edit them and look at the account numbers in them to tell what Quicken is seeing (and that should be in the account details too).Signature:
