If you have the Windows Home version you can run in S Mode, but that isn't compatible with Quicken.

You have a choice, either take it out of S Mode, or not use Quicken.

S Mode means that you can only run programs that come from the Microsoft Store.

The computer doesn't have to be a Microsoft Surface to run in S-Mode.

Here is some information on it:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-and-windows-11-in-s-mode-faq-851057d6-1ee9-b9e5-c30b-93baebeebc85

Note with Windows 11, only the Home version supports S-Mode.

S-Mode was also associated with computers that had Qualcomm Snapdragon processors instead of Intel/AMD processors, which couldn't run standard 32-bit/64-bit programs, only the "Store programs".

NOTE if you switch out of S-Mode you can't go back in without wiping out the system and reloading it.
