I don't understand what you're saying here. The original discussion that you posted to had to do with using the stock split wizard improperly, entering numbers incorrectly.
From what you've posted here you seem to be saying when you're entering an investment transaction manually - any investment transaction - that Quicken somehow changes the transaction, a dividend we'll say, into a stock split?
Please clarify.
