Reset my quicken to a certain start point

Question

I have about 10 years worth of data and want to reset to a certain point without using the balance as of that time.   When I worked in accounting it was know as an annual rewrite to the balance of each account but don't see a way to do in Quicken.  This would help reduce  the file size since I really don't need to go back that far ever.

The functionality you're describing is available when you create a year-end archive.  If you haven't already, you may want to review: FAQ: Year End Copy
