How do I recover entries which have disappeared?

In one of my accounts, entries have disappeared from 4-22-21 through 10-26-21. They were in the register until just a couple of weeks ago. What did I do wrong?

    If you haven’t already, you may want to verify the register is sorted appropriately and there aren’t any unexpected filters being applied:  open the register, select the Date column header (you want the small triangle to right of Date to point up) and Reset

    If you did inadvertently delete the transactions, you may be able to restore the transactions using a backup you saved before the transactions were removed.
