Upgrade from QW 2015 to subscription

Do I first want to backup my various data files and then uninstall QW 2015 before installing 2022/subscription? I don't want to leave any trash out there. I'm on Win 7 but will be moving to Win 10 in a month or two so will need to reinstall there.

A backup never hurts, and you can never have too many. You don't need to remove Q2015, because the install of Q subscription will do that for you. When you get the Win10 machine:
- Simply take another backup on Win 7,
- Install Q on Win 10 (make sure to update to the current release ... the Install should do this)
- RESTORE that most recent backup into Q on Win10

-splasher using Q continuously since 1996
- Subscription Quicken - Win11 and QW2013 - Win11

Are they even selling new PC's with the old Windows 10? Pretty sure all new PC's now come with Windows 11 as the operating system.0

Interesting point on Win 10 vs Win 11...
We're a small business with an older SBS2011 server that can't talk to Win 10 workstations. I was putting a new build together and have in hand all but the OS. I was procrastinating buying OS until a new server went in which is about to finally happen. So I figured I could still find an OEM Win 10 Pro 64 bit.
I'd rather go with Win 10, and I just looked and I found it on newegg so I guess that's going to become a rare specimen!0 -
Dell is still selling business PC's with Windows 10 Pro. I just purchased one 3 weeks ago.Quicken Subscription HBRP - Windows 100
