How Fix Charles Schwab Investment Balance
Dee R
Quicken seems to have changed how they classify cash/sweep transactions. I never used to see Money Fund transactions except for end of month dividend. The balance column was cash+sweep ... I need some answers on how this should be setup.

with various ways of dealing with the issue. The bottom line here, in my opinion, is that if cash is automatically swept into and out of the fund without any intervention on your part then treating the fund as cash makes great sense. On the other hand, if the fund needs to be bought and sold by you to deal with cash in the account then the fund should be treated as the security it is.
