Very Large Register, How Can I Clean it up ?

I started using Quicken in 2005 so my register is very long and large.  Is there a way to archive and/or remove a lot of the older records without effecting the account reconciliation balance ? Thanks in advance.

@20aussies I agree with @RickO; I have early 70,000 transactions going back to 1993.

But to answer your question directly: no, there is no way in Quicken Mac to automatically purge data before a specified date. You can do it manually, but it can be a real mess to get all your account balances correct.
