Quicken Windows and Carbonite

New Quicken customer. I use Carbonite as my offsite backup for my PC. Is there any issues with using Carbonite for my Quicken backup files?

There is no issue using Carbonite to backup the Quicken backup files.
  • Hello @jeffross777,

Thank you for coming to the Community with your questions and concerns.

While there is no issue with using Carbonite to backup your Quicken backup folder, you do want to make sure that you don't have Carbonite backing up your main Quicken data file. Doing so can cause damage to your file.

The issue is not specific to Carbonite. There should be no third-party apps or cloud services accessing/backing up the file you are actively using.

Hope this helps to further clarify things for you.

    Thank you!

    Quicken Alyssa
