I had some shares of CSPR (Casper sleep). They did a cash merger. Quicken won't let me sell the stocks because the security name no longer shows up. How do I record this transaction?

Please explain "cash merger".  Do you mean that another company bought CSPR for cash?  What transactions re: CSPR have you already recorded ... perhaps a "Remove shares"?  If so, delete that and record the sale.

That is what Stash is calling it. Google says it was a shareholder buyout. They paid me for my shares and I no longer have any CSPR stock. Quicken won't let me record a sale of the stock because the security no longer exists.

WHAT transaction, in your Q account removed those CSPR shares?  Why can't you delete it and record the sale?

Nothing in Quicken removed those shares. Quicken still says I own them. I am trying to input a sell transaction in Quicken and it won't let me.
