Why is Quicken so slow?

Quicken takes several minutes to open on my windows desktop. Why is this happening?

    Try to determine whether the slowness is due to the time to open and read your data file. Start Quicken by holding Ctrl+Shift. It should open with no data file and only File and Help menu items. Notice whether that is significantly faster than usual. Then open your data file and see how long that takes.
    Quicken user since version 2 for DOS, now using QWin Premier Subscription (US) on Win10 Pro.

    Using WHICH type of open?  And how long did the other take?

    Do you have Download transactions at start checked?



    Recent update issues may cause downloads to all but hang.
