Endpoint Detection and Response software flagging updates as malicious

:D Three weekends out of the past four, Quicken has auto installed an update. Because the hashtag on the file is new my EDR software kills the process and quarantines the file and the program. I am able to reinstall once they approve the file but what a pain.

Can I turn off the automatic updates?

You should change your User Account Control Settings so that Windows will notify you when any program is trying to do an install. When Quicken tries to install the patch, you can just select no.
