As stated by several others in this thread, the lifetime planner change assumptions function is NOT working or is very sporadic...works once, then doesn't. Why is this issue not resolved?? It's been reported now for a long time. FIX IT!!!!!!!!

This issue was fixed in the R39.xx staged releases last week but they have been withdrawn because they caused other, more serious problems. A further release is expected soon. Watch the Alerts section of this forum here
    https://community.quicken.com/categories/alerts
    for updates.

Personally, I will be staying at R38.30 and living with its problems until the releases have stabilized.

It appears that just deleting the Cache folder in %PROGRAMDATA%\Quicken (e.g. C:\ProgramData\Quicken) and restarting quicken seems to fix this problem for exactly one session (no need to reinstall).

If you are getting a navigation was cancelled error on the lifetime planner, delete the Cache folder (e.g. C:\ProgramData\Quicken\Cache) and restart Quicken. Fair warning, after you exit out the problem re-presents itself so if you want to make adjustments to your planner, until the problem is fixed by Quicken, delete the Cache folder and restart. Hope that helps!

so far the update (now version 39.23) and deleting the "cache" folder as referenced by Jim_Harman above on 3/8 seems to do the trick.
