When a check or Payee clears my bank, how do I note that it has cleared my bank in the register?

When check/Payee clears my bank, how do I note that it has cleared in the register? I am manually putting the Payee information and not downloading from the bank.

    Options
    In the checking account register there is a "Clr" column.  Click on the Clr field for that transaction and select "Cleared" and then hit the Enter key.
