I don't have a second account! and Its a transfer dummy!

Quicken did not recognize my checking account and now has created a parallel account. It now downloads the items into a new account. How can I get it to stop doing that. This is after it has also stopped recognizing transfers and puts them into two transactions.

    I suggest you either restore a Quicken file backup saved before you added the duplicate account or merge the accounts: FAQ: How Do I Move Transactions Between Quicken Accounts?

    If you really want Quicken to attempt to guess at whether an imported transaction is a transfer, enable transfer detection: select Edit > Preferences...
